Roller bearings with short cylindrical rollers

Roller bearings with short cylindrical rollers have many design variations and modifications. This type of bearings allows increasing of load capacity by using of larger diameter rollers without changing the dimensions. Roller bearings are used in double-seat shaft reducer unit, electric motors and other machines.

Tapered roller bearings

Tapered roller bearing has rolling track on the inner and outer rings that have conical shape and tapered rollers. They are designed for combined loads, including simultaneously acting axial and radial loads. Surfaces of tapered rollers form an angle with the bearing axis so that angles’ tops converge at one point on the bearing axis to ensure correct rolling motion and low friction. The ability of tapered roller bearing to bear axial load increases with increasing contact angle.

One-row needle roller cardan bearings

A distinctive feature of cardan bearing is the absence of the bearing cage and solid outer ring. It is designed to receive radial loads. Their main use is in propshaft of cars and trucks and other vehicles.

Needle roller bearings

This kind of bearing is for the radial load, and the rollers in it are parallel to the bearing rotation axis. Thrust needle roller bearing designed for axial load, and the rollers therein are perpendicular to bearing axis. Needle bearings are used wherever a combination of compactness and carrying capacity needed. Among the examples of use are trucks gearbox, mechanical equipment, vehicles and electric tools.
