They are designed for combined loads, including simultaneously acting axial and radial loads. Surfaces of tapered rollers form an angle with the bearing axis so that angles’ tops converge at one point on the bearing axis to ensure correct rolling motion and low friction. The ability of tapered roller bearing to bear axial load increases with increasing contact angle. |
