According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, most industries showed an increase in volumes, with the exception of metal ore mining, tobacco products and electrical equipment production.

Thus, mineral extraction in June increased by 13.8% in annual terms, the manufacturing industry showed good growth - by 6.4% compared to June last year.

"The automotive industry and furniture production demonstrate very good growth rates, "the ministry said in a comment received by Rossiyskaya Gazeta.

In June, the index of production of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers amounted to 131.5%, showing an increase of 31.5%. Furniture production increased by 32.1%.

123 thousand cars were produced in June. This is 9.3% more than in the previous month, and 16.9% more than in June 2020. In total, 736 thousand "passenger cars" were produced in the first half of the year, which exceeds the indicator of the same period last year by 44.3%.

The production of cargo vehicles in June increased by 36.7% compared to May 2021, and by 78.9% by June 2020. In total, 17 thousand such cars were collected.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade added that in general, for 6 months of 2021, output in the manufacturing industry increased by 8.2% compared to January-June 2020.
