The government will allocate 25 billion rubles to support the automotive industry
“We continue to support industries and businesses affected by the spread of coronavirus infection. On behalf of the President (Russia, Vladimir Putin), we will allocate 25 billion rubles to support the automotive industry, ”said the Prime Minister.
On April 24, Putin during a meeting on the development of the automotive industry proposed a number of measures that should help the industry during the crisis period associated with the coronavirus pandemic. These measures include additional government purchases of vehicles from car manufacturers, as well as support for preferential leasing and car loans. According to the head of state, it is the auto industry that can become one of the pillars in the recovery of the entire economy.
On May 5, the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Denis Manturov, announced that the state program “Affordable Rent”, aimed at supporting the demand for cars, would enter into force from June throughout Russia. It will be implemented by banks and leasing companies.
