The head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade is confident about growing demand for agricultural machinery

Глава Минпромторга уверен в росте спроса на сельхозтехнику

Thanks to the financing of agricultural machinery manufacturers in the amount of 13.7 billion rubles in 2017, agricultural producers will be able to purchase more than 20,000 units of modern agricultural machinery on favorable terms in this year and this is almost 2 times more than in 2016.

Year after year the state support allows Russian plants to increase the output of agricultural machinery in demand by farmers.

It reported by the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Mr. Denis Manturov.

"The data for the first quarter of 2017 confirms the fulfillment of these plans: the growth of production of energy-saturated tractors was 50% and combine harvesters - more than 30% compared to the first quarter of last year," - the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia said.

He also reminded that in accordance with the instructions of the Government of the Russian Federation the Ministry of Industry and Trade prepared a draft project of strategy of the development of agricultural engineering in Russia until 2030, which is currently available for public discussion. According to the document, it is planned to increase the percentage of Russian machinery in the domestic market.

"I’d like to note that from 2013 to 2016 the share of domestic machinery on the market has already increased from 26% to 54%," - the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia specified.

The task that domestic agricultural machinery manufacturers face is to increase this figure to 80% by 2030. At the same time, it is planned to provide targeted support for exports, so that manufacturers could increase the volume of Russian agricultural machinery supplies to abroad up to 50% from domestic consumption (at the end of 2016 it was 10%). Priority markets for domestic agricultural machinery will be the EU, South Africa, Australia, China, North America.
